Movies And Series I Am Watching

While I am recovering from my appendicitis operation I am left with no option but to watch movies, read books and browse the internet. These are my only pass time activities these days. Sometimes when I feel too gross I take a bath.

I don’t have access to Netflix anymore and the content on Amazon Prime doesn’t lure me. I have watched almost all series on Apple TV+ too. So I thought why not list down some of the movies and series that I have been watching lately.

Movies

Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

Directed by award winning director Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom is a series of incidents that follows the story of lovers Sam and Suzy who run away from their town. The locals initiate a search party to hunt them down. Sam is an orphan who is to be taken away by Social Services because of this incident. Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray are there to support the child actors. You will love it. Wes Anderson is not your everyday director. He plays with colour, synchronisation and human emotions like no other human being.

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

Another movie by Wes Anderson. I won’t write much about this one. You watch the trailer and you immediately know what you are getting into. The movie stars Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Luke Wilson only to name a few.

Series

Ted Lasso (Apple TV+)

An American football coach sets on a journey to manage a soccer club in England. Ted Lasso never played soccer in his life before and now he is to manage a Premier League Club only to find that its players are demotivated and divided in themselves. This heartfelt comedy series is a must watch. Out of all the series made by Apple, Ted Lasso is Tim Cooks'(CEO of Apple) favourite.

For All Mankind (Apple TV+)

In this high intense drama series, Russia sets first foot on Moon, USA makes its mission to at least set up its camp there first. NASA sends three astronauts to Moon who sets up camp near the site where they discovered water crystals. Russia too sets up its camp on Moon and the situation gets intense when USA shoots down two cosmonauts with M16 riffles on Moon. Yes, you read it right, they take weapons to the Moon. The story builds up smoothly with each episode getting intense as it progresses.
